RATIONALE
To provide collaborative training opportunities for swimmers focused on aerobic-based events as part of the Swim Ontario Domestic Podium Development project.

LOCATION - Sagamahara, Japan
TEAM COMPLIMENT
SWIMMER PARTICIPANT FEE - $1250.00 per camp
SWIMMER ELIGIBILITY
- Swimmers aged 17 and Under as of December 31, 2025
- Swimmers must be fully registered with with an ACTIVE status in the REMS system
- Must be eligible to compete for Canada internationally
- Swimmers must participate in all “In-Person” training opportunities
- Swimmers selected to participate in the Swimming Canada Next Gen Distance Camp in Queensland Australia will not be eligible to participate
PERFORMANCE WINDOW
January 1 - August 31, 2025 (LCM Events Only)
PERFORMANCE ELIGIBILITY
- Only LCM performances in defined events during the stated performance window are eligible.
- Performances must appear on SwimRankings.net in order to be eligible for consideration
- Performances not appearing on SwimRankings.net, or outside of the performance window will not be considered.
SELECTION PRIORITIES
Priority 1:
- Swimmers who have achieved a World Class On-Track “Track 1” time as of August 31, 2025.
Priority 2:
- Swimmers who achieved a World Class On-Track
PARTICIPANT EXPECTATIONS
- Selected swimmers must attend and participate in all activities related to these training opportunities
- Swimmer must be in good health and injury free to participate.
- Selected swimmers must be in full training with their home club program
- Must be able to complete all training expectations outlined by the leadership team
- Swimmers will be asked to complete testing sets including but not limited to 30 x 100 as part of the curriculum.
TRAVEL AND ACCOMMODATION
- Selected swimmers are expected to stay with the training group throughout the camp.
- Accommodation for all attending swimmers and coaches will be coordinated by the Swim Ontario Provincial Teams Coordinator.
- Swimmers and Coaches are responsible for their travel to and from the camp.
In the event of unforeseen or unusual circumstances, Swim Ontario Technical Staff, under the direction of the CEO, has the full discretion to resolve the matter as it sees fit, taking into account factors and circumstances that it deems relevant.
The Swim Ontario technical staff reserves the right to make changes to this document at its discretion. Any changes to this document shall be communicated directly to all eligible participants through their Coach of Record and published on the Swim Ontario website.
